AI assistance
Two places in OrbGIS let you describe what you want in plain words and get a working result — filters and rich text. Always optional, always validated.
Filters from plain language#
In the map viewer’s Filter panel, the AI button turns a description — “parks larger than 10 ha in the North region” — into a definition expression. The generated SQL-style WHERE clause is validated against the server before it applies, and shows a matched-feature count, exactly like one you’d write by hand. You can edit it afterwards.
Rich text on demand#
Rich-text editors — pop-up text blocks with their {field} variables, dashboard text elements, captions, export titles — carry an AI generate button that drafts formatted content from a short description. The result lands in the editor as normal rich text for you to edit or discard.
Where it runs#
AI generation runs on EU-hosted inference infrastructure (a Swedish provider) — in line with OrbGIS being built and operated in Sweden. AI features are assistive only: nothing is generated or applied without you pressing the button, and everything can be edited or removed afterwards.
